चीज उत्पादक ओर ग्राहक के बीच रेफ्रिजरेटर, वॉशिंग मशीन, टेलीविजन, स्कूटर वगेरा का बेचने ओर खरीदने को एक कॉन्ट्रैक्ट में गिना जाता है। दोनो पक्ष के लिए ये कॉन्ट्रैक्ट बन्धनकर्ता है। फिर भी गेरेंटी के साथ खरीदी गयी चीज खामी या नुकशान वाली बिगड़ी हुई हो तो ग्राहक इसे वापस कर के उस कॉन्ट्रैक्ट को रद कर सकता है ओर अपनी रकम भी वापस ले सकता है, इतना ही नही उस चीज से हुए नुकसान की रकम भी उसे मिलती है। या फिर वही चीज बिल्कुल नये रूप में मिल सकती है।
दुसरी तरफ वारंटी वाली प्रोडक्ट हो तो उसे वापस दिया नही जा सकता पर उंस चीज के अंदर में जो नुकसान है उंसके पैसे या स्पेर पार्ट बदल कर मिल सकता है। वो भी तय किये गए समय मे ही, बाद में नही
